3)*  I introduce myself as being authorised by law to solemnise marriages, and reflect on the reason that brings the group together
4)   A general overview of what marriage and commitment means to the Couple
5)   Specific details about the Couple
6)   Reading/poem/song designed to invite the Couple to expand their views about love and marriage
7)*  Monitum from the Marriage Act
8)    The Giving Away of the bride
9)*  The Couple's intentions are expressed - showing they each come to the ceremony freely with no impediment to marriage
10)* The exchange of vows - the commitment - either by the 'repeat after me' method or Couple can recite the vows they have memorised
11)   A symbolic action

Weddings by Marriage Celebrant, Dianne McInnessThe Notice of Intended Marriage must be lodged 1 month and 1 day before the date you wish to marry. This form is valid for 18 months.

Identification you need to provide

    • Original Birth Certificate
    • Current Driver's Licence or Passport

If you are previously married and now divorced
      - Divorce decree absolute
If you are a widow or widower
      - Death Certificate of previous spouse
If you have changed your name
     - Official Documents showing change

$100 non-refundable fee to be paid when Notice of Intention of Marriage is lodged and marriage booked.
